Andy is our very charming free spirit and a very busy guy — songwriter, website and print designer, not to omit audio engineer. But you are also likely to find him performing as half of the alternative pop/folk duo, Andy and Denise. (The link is a hint to visit their web site, where you will find pictures, song lyrics, sound clips and a list of future performance dates.) A&D have released 3 CDs and Andy has a solo instrumental CD as well. In late 2005, Andy released a solo CD, Only Bamboo, available through www.candyrat.com, an online distributor.
Andy and Denise moved recently to their own home on over 3 acres of land — a private paradise shared with their 3 cats, Zooey, Charlotte and Milo, and their newest pal, Shelby, a Golden Retriever.
Having shown no interest in music as a small child (“I won't play piano! You can't make me practice!”), Andy picked up a guitar at about age 12 and just never put it down.
He is a really fine acoustic guitarist and loves the work of the late — but phenomenal — Michael Hedges. As to future directions, who can tell? Having a musical star in the family would be just fine, even though he refuses to let Mom be a backup singer. Darn!
